Abstract
The authors analyze the historical account that was little-known to the national historical and pedagogical tradition, namely «The Statute of St. Paul’s grammar school» established at St. Paul Cathedral on the initiative and at the expense of the cathedral’s dean John Colet (1467-1519), the famous English Christian thinker of the pre-Reformation time. The article observes that, despite the long-standing precedents, Colet’s foundation of a new school was perceived by contemporaries as an extraordinary event which was mentioned in the chronicles. The St. Paul’s School, free from ecclesiastical jurisdiction, was ruled by a secular body - the School Board of the Mercer-merchants («Mercers Wardens and Surveyors»). According to the Statutes, the material and social status of teachers at the school was in many ways much higher compared to the traditionally low status of teachers in the late medieval society. The high level of salaries, pensions for old age and disability, as well as the provision of free housing in a specially constructed teacher's building testify to Colet's high appreciation of the importance of the teachers’ role for the Christian education, spiritual and moral renewal of society. The authors put forward the first Russian translation of «The Statute of St. Paul’s grammar school»’ fragment concerning the teacher’s status and relative topics.

Abstract
In article attempts to explore the relationship of contemporary american philosopher Eugene Thacker to apophatic theology, which is the cornerstone for almost all of his works. Throughout the history of philosophical thought life is always determined by something else: the form, process, time, motion, and so on. The Aristotelian soul (life-itself) as the form of living, which remains at the same unthinkable beyond specific creatures, pursuing a philosophical discourse in his attempts to talk about life itself. The Apophatic logic provides the prospect of understanding the concept of life beyond the concrete creatures. The divine nature of the negative theology is not interpreted in limits of Being or Non-being, because it is the "Superlative Life" as an absolute Nothing, and that is the limit of any ontology of life. Thacker concludes that thought of life itself is possible only through its own negation. There have also been revealed the main docking between apophatic theology and the horror genre in latest Thacker’s works.

Abstract
The paper under consideration makes an attempt of trying to find the sense of meaning and value foundations of colour in the iconic image. The investigation is based on the principle of the revelation of the religious, philosophical and theological foundations standing behind the iconic image as a whole, and behind its colour characteristics, in particularly. The key moment is acknowledgement of intercommunication between “theology of icon” and “practice of icon”, interaction of which is similar to simultaneous co-presence of one to another. Addressing to the paradigm of “theology of icon” the biblical traditions of perception of colour are considered in the article. It is also considered the concept of non-created light (Favorsky) which is maintained by the philosophers of “Silver Age”. These philosophical and theological theories about colour are discovered with direct graphic image. It is shown with the help of symbolic and semantic comparison of the colour of icon with theological concept of the “light of God” and through the description of range of colours of icon image with the parallel discovery of its spiritual and mystical meanings.
