Abstract

Introduction: the article deals with current problems of teaching talent and teaching intelligence. A review of the main foreign psychological concepts of giftedness is presented (the concept of “intellectual threshold” is a triad concept of giftedness, a five-factor psychosocial model of giftedness, etc.), different approaches to understanding the structure of this phenomenon are analyzed. The theoretical concepts of giftedness of domestic researchers are discussed in the context of the psychology of intelligence and the psychology of creativity: the working concept of giftedness, the theory of intellectual giftedness, the dynamic theory of giftedness, etc.). The national concept of teaching talent of schoolchildren is analyzed from the point of view of the authors' understanding of the psychological content and dynamics of the development of teaching talent in the age aspect.

Materials and methods: the main methods of the research are the analysis of the literature, formalization and modeling, psychological and pedagogical design of theoretical and applied approaches to the description of the phenomenons of teaching talent and teaching intelligence.

Results: the author's understanding of teaching talent as a psychological prerequisite for the development of pedagogical abilities and teaching intelligence is proposed, its structure and content of its components are determined. The variable range of manifestations of universal structural components (creativity, activity, level of development of cognitive processes) and special structural components (pedagogical, communicative and organizational tendencies, artistry, speech abilities, empathy, interest in teaching activity) teaching talent are described. A brief overview of the key modern psychological theories of intelligence, including plural, emotional, creative, practical intelligence is given. Some domestic studies are analyzed, in particular the structural-dynamic theory of social intelligence. A teaching intelligence construct is introduced that meets the modern principles of scientific knowledge: inter-paradigm, the search for new generalizations based on the study of the history of the problem and the requirements of new approaches. The author's understanding of teaching intelligence as an integrative individual psychological personality characteristic is formulated. A five-factor structure of teaching intellect is presented, including cognitive intelligence, creative intelligence, practical intelligence, emotional and social intelligence.

Abstract

Introduction: the reference to the research topic is due to the relevance of using the mentoring system as the most effective way to use an organization’s human resource for solving strategic tasks. The need to revive the mentoring system in the country has been recognized by modern managers engaged in business, the economy, and services. It is the changes in the economy that lead to changes in management. Modern business has adopted a mentoring technique and gives it preference in preparing and adapting young specialists.

Materials and methods: in the study we used theoretical and empirical methods of cognition: methods of retrospective analysis of materials, analysis of literature, documents, analysis of work on the research topic, method of analogy and comparison, method of generalizing the results of research.

Results of the study: after analyzing scientific studies on mentoring, we came to the conclusion that in the current situation due to changes in the political and socio-economic situation, attitudes towards mentoring have changed and it has not lost its relevance. However, mentoring has undergone a transformation by type of activity: at the present stage, the category of “mentoring” is being rethought. Mentoring applies not only to the professional sphere and the sphere of social relations, but also to education and upbringing.

Discussions and conclusions: рroper organization of the mentoring system can not only transfer professional experience to subsequent generations, but also influence the process of educating young employees and the atmosphere of the organization. At the moment, the attention of not only manufacturing enterprises, but also non-production organizations has been drawn to the mentoring system. Mentoring is an effective means of promoting professional development, allowing employees of the organization to achieve career goals, intended professional success. High performance mentoring while improving the efficiency of human resources.

Abstract

Introduction: the paper discusses the psychology of pedagogical mark problem, which has become very relevant in recent years. There is a growing public opinion that school grades should be abolished. It is obvious that such discussions periodically arise in the history of education for several centuries. However, the argument of the expediency of the abolition of the grades is insufficient, fragmented, contradictory and reinforced by the judgments is not scientific, but home plan with appeals to the psychological research of different levels. In this regard, it becomes necessary to create a scientific discourse on this problem in order to prevent pseudo-scientific speculation in solving social issues.

Materials and methods: the paper is an analytical review in which an attempt is made to systematize scientific psychological knowledge on the psychological problem of pedagogical assessment and mark. The main method of studying the psychological context of pedagogical assessment and mark is the method of theoretical analysis of scientific psychological sources.

Consistently provides the scientific arguments refuting the opinion about the negative impact of teacher selection and evaluation in the above individual and social aspects of the system of relations of the student in the process of educational activity.

Discussion and Conclusions: the conclusion about inexpediency of school marks cancellation is proved. On the basis of the results of psychological research proves the need for pedagogical assessment and mark provided its objectivity and clarity as an effective way of feedback to the pupil and his social environment on the effectiveness of his educational activities.

HISTORY OF PHILOSOPHY

13 1709
Abstract

Introduction: immediacy of the problem of non-being for philosophy is givenness. Parmenides’ ontology is the origin of the problem of non-being in Western-European tradition. It was Parmenides who enunciated the first conceptual idea of non-being in the history of Western-European tradition. This intention became the basis for onto-epistemological searching of philosophers of the following epochs. This paper goes to the understudied problem of reception of Parmenides’ theory of non-being in Plotinus’ henology.

Materials and Methods: the problem approach is defining. Its employment is quite specific when it is referred to searching of the problem of non-being within the history of philosophy. This paper insists on the importance of a distinction of the concepts “category of non-being” and “problem of non-being” and uses the category such as “theory of non-being”. Parmenides’ theory of not-being is taken to mean as the presence of both the problem of non-being and its solution.

Research findings: the key point of Eleatic theory of non-being is the dialectic of being and non-being where the following pattern is uncovered. All the characteristics of being are ontologically possible as non-being is rejected. This principle is present in Plotinus’ henology too. The authentic nature of the All is transcendental. Transcendence of the All stipulates Its apophatic in the immanence.

Discussions and conclusions: the origin of Plotinus’ henology is the Platonic philosophy. The same goes for the apophatic theology of the All. However, Platonism is not the only source of Plotinus’ theory of the All. The author shows that Parmenides’ theory of non-being is one of the cores of this intention. The apophatic of non-being and the apophatic theology of the All stipulate existence itself in Parmenides’ ontology and transcendence of the All in Plotinus’ henology. This is the principle which makes it possible to state reception of Parmenides’ theory of non-being in Plotinus’ henology.

Abstract

Introduction: the purpose of this article is to highlight the main difficulties and paradoxes, which are connected with temporal and spatial infinity and also to research their solutions in the context of the philosophy of Xenophanes from Colophon and Parmenides from Elea.

Materials and Methods: the base of this article is various materials of Russian and foreign researchers, who have researched problem of the temporal infinity in the doctrine of Eleatics with different approaches. In this article the methodology of critical analysis of the researched materials is used, combined with the methods of comparative analysis of doctrine of Xenophanes and doctrine of Parmenides from Elea.

Results: the point of view according to which the Being of Xenophanes and Parmenides exists in time and space and  has the shape of a non-hollow sphere is researched in this article. Together with justification of the first point of view, there is another point of view according to which the Being of Xenophanes and Parmenides has unlimited length in time and space, but this Being has not got any form. According to this point of view, Xenophanes and Parmenides don't give this Being with shape of the sphere, but they just compare it with the sphere to reveal the perfection of such Being. We proved that Being of Xenophanes and Parmenides has unlimited length in time and space, but it has the form of the sphere. This state of affairs indicates the presence of the limitation of this Being and, therefore, the presence of actual contradiction.

Discussion and conclusions: we have proved that main contradictions concerning the temporal and spatial infinity are not ultimately resolved in doctrine of Xenophanes and Parmenides from Elea and still exist as a field for further discussion.

SOCIAL PHILOSOPHY

Abstract

Introduction: the Purpose of this article is to present the research carried out on the basis of Minin University. The research focused on the problem of the sensitivity of the academic space of the Russian University to gender aspects, as well as the identification of the degree of relevance of gender characteristics in the choice of communication strategies of Nizhny Novgorod students.

Materials and methods: the main for the article were the works of domestic and foreign authors who approached the problem of "gender and education" from various positions (psychological, pedagogical, sociological). Taking into account these developments, the authors of the article developed a questionnaire and conducted a sociological study aimed at identifying the facts of gender asymmetry in the space of the University and tracking the degree of comfort of communication participants, if any.

Results: the article presents the results of the primary analysis of empirical data. The survey, which was attended by students of three Nizhny Novgorod universities, showed a "complex" attitude of students to gender issues and their manifestations in social practices in General. The UNIVERSITY was interpreted by us as a sufficiently free communicative space, which, due to the solution of educational, professional and scientific problems, minimizes various social and morphological factors. The preliminary results of the study show that the walls of the University are not devoid of various forms and mechanics of gender discrimination. Different spheres of activity in the higher education space represent a different degree of severity of the gender imbalance: the business and professional relationships, as shown by the results, have a lower binding phenotype compared to friendly contacts. The results allow us to conclude that students perceive gender asymmetry as an integral and necessary component of modern culture.

Discussion and conclusions: the primary analysis of the results of the study revealed significant contradictions in the minds of Russian students, in issues related to both gender identification and the description of the subjective attitude of being in a gender – sensitive space.

Abstract

Introduction: the article is devoted to the consideration of the ideological characteristics of members of the Volga pagan communities, "Rodnoverov-individuals" belonging to the union "Volga Frontier". June 23-24, 2018 employees of the research laboratory "New religious movements in modern Russia and Europe" of the Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University. Kozma Minin conducted a questionnaire among ordinary members of the cult environment of modern Russian paganism who took part in the celebration of the summer solstice (floodplain of the Kudma river, Mikhalchikovo village, Kstovsky district, Nizhny Novgorod region). The celebration was attended by 65 people, a representative sample represented by 45 respondents. The questionnaire consisted of four semantic blocks and included 18 questions, both open and closed. The article covers all the blocks of the questionnaire.

Materials and methods: analyzed the ideological features of the community association "Volzhsky frontier". On the basis of the verbal-communicative method (complete questionnaire), assessments of the characteristics of social and cultural identities, the attitude of the pagans to the organizational structure of the “birth-faith” movement, and state power are presented. Taking into account the specificity of the comparative historical method, the chronological framework of the golden age is considered, the “historical face of Russia” is defined.

Results: analysis of the obtained data allowed: first, to identify the features of the social portrait of a participant in Nizhny Novgorod Kupala (gender, age, education, occupation, etc.). Secondly, to form an idea of the views of the "Rodnovers" on issues related to the organizational structure of the movement, interaction of pagans with government bodies, the media. Thirdly, determine the type of cultural identity of the considered pagan community of the 21st century. Fourthly, to establish the chronological framework of the "young-speaking" golden age and the associated gradation of domestic historical figures.

Discussion and Conclusions: according to the data of the questionnaire, the modern “Volga pagan” is duplicated in the mass of ideological projections, are in the same ideological field, with separate organizations, unions of the communities of central Russia. The unity of the main religious, social and political strata allows us to state a certain unified Russian neo-pagan field, independent of the chronology of the origin and geographical localization of groups.
