Abstract

Introduction: The article is devoted to the analysis of the Renaissance model of school organization and running, the London’s grammar school of St. Paul established in 1509 at the St. Paul Cathedral by rector John Colet (1467-1519) being taken as an example. The history of the school has not yet received a worthy attention of domestic scientists. The foreign studies show the contradictory estimation of J. Colet's pedagogical activity. Analysis of the organizational basis as well as mundane life of the St. Paul’s school seems to be of critical importance for an integral picture of the development of the educational system during the Renaissance and modern age.

Material and methods: The source and historiographical base: the school’s Statute, English chronicles, epistolary texts, documents concerning the school building’ construction as well as the relationship establishing with the Merchant Mercers company and with the Saint Paul Cathedral’s chapter; the writings of humanists, research in the fields of personal history and the social history of education. Methods: hermeneutic analysis, historical-genetic method, paradigm-pedagogical method.

Results of the study: School running and everyday life in England at that time would stick to the traditional medieval forms within the clerical and city municipal corporal framework. Colet created a crucially new model of grammar school. It was an open public school independent of ecclesiastical jurisdiction and ruled by a secular body - the School Board of the Mercer-merchants  of London («Mercers Wardens and Surveyors»). To maintain the school Colet transferred the considerable land holdings under the control of the Mercers. Education was free. The St. Paul ’s grammar school was the largest one in the Renaissance England in terms of number of students and teaching staff.

Discussion and conclusions: Colet became able to thoroughly over haul his predecessors’ experience and the most progressive elements of the school organization and running that had already existed and developed some new humanistic ones in order to implement them within a whole educational body. It was a brand new educational institution in terms of organization of the educational process, which became an example for the classical gymnasiums of the modern age.

It is shown that the activity of the psychologist in an education system (educational psychologist) is currently undergoing essential transformations. It is determined by need to increase its quality in the educational environment of a new type. The considerable demand for psychological services in an education system is caused, first of all, by increasing attention to the development of intellectual and personal potential of younger generation reflected in modern educational standards and the Education law. According to it, the requirements to qualification and professional competences of a psychologist are increasing that allows carrying out labor functions effectively according to the professional standards. Development of uniform system of a professional certification of educational psychologists acts as an important stage of implementation of the professional standard of the educational psychologist.

Abstract

Introduction: In article the methodological bases of preventive model of activity of the educational psychologist are considered. Need of development of uniform conceptual model of psychological service for an education system is proved. It is shown that the importance of the solution of the current problems connected with preservation and strengthening of psychological health of children increases in modern conditions.

Materials and methods: The analysis of the normative documents regulating activity of the psychologist in education, the theoretical analysis, generalization, systematization, classification, questioning. 9357 respondents – the psychologists working in an education system and heads of the educational organizations of various regions of the Russian Federation participated in poll devoted to problems of work of the educational psychologist.

Results: The main fields (directions) of work of the psychologist in an education system are opened: psychological (psychology and pedagogical) diagnostics, psychological consultation, psychological correction and development, psychological education, psychological prevention. It is shown that the volume and content of activity of the psychologist in an education system considerably becomes complicated and extends. Complication and an intensification of work of the modern educational psychologist leads to differentiation of areas and the realized activity models, at the same time, regarding psychology and pedagogical and methodical maintenance, expert and design activity of the psychologist is partly crossed with pedagogical activity. In this regard need of more accurate definition and differentiation of professional tasks of the teacher and psychologist for education is proved. Data of the questionnaire conducted on selection of educational psychologists of various regions of the Russian Federation are provided. Results showed that real work of the psychologist in educational institution generally consists of psychodiagnostic inspections and methodical support of educational programs which are carried out of target reference points of activity. Educational psychologists do not allocate preservation and strengthening of psychological health of students as a relevant task, do not own technologies of scheduled maintenance. The rupture of the theory and practice of psychology in education is noted.

Discussion and Conclusions: The preventive model of psychological service in education is offered. According to it a main objective of psychological service in an education system psychological health of children and students acts. Prevention as the system of the actions directed to prevention and correction of deviations of mental development, formation of the personality, socialization, preservation and strengthening of psychological health is the main sphere of activity of the psychologist.

Abstract

Introduction: In the era of intensive computerization of society, the computer becomes an integral part of the life of a modern teenager. The virtual world contributes to the formation and development of those forms of individuality, which are largely designed by computer games developers, which leads to a change in the organization of the teenager's life - the computer player, his communications, the transformation of traditional social ties. According to the results of research, the consequences of enthusiasm for computer games include, among other things, the emergence of cruelty in relations between peers. Of particular concern is the fact that violence is reflected in the interaction of children with classmates, as a result of which is its spread in educational institutions. The problem of studying the relationship between gaming computer enthusiasm and teenage bullying is, in our opinion, an urgent task and requires a multilevel analysis.

Results: The article presents an analytical review of research on the problem of enthusiasm for computer games and school bullying in Russia and abroad. Noting the importance of these studies, it should be recognized that the problem of overcoming adolescents' enthusiasm for computer games in the form of reducing and preventing its destructive influence and preventing the formation of deviant behavior requires further analysis and study. Till now it is not enough studied, in what cases the enthusiasm for computer games leads to deviant forms of behavior, which provokes the formation of an associative orientation in adolescents. In this regard, it is relevant to assess the relationship between the enthusiasm for computer games and deviant behavior in adolescents, as well as the search for effective methods and means to prevent computer game enthusiasm, based on a personal-oriented approach to each child.

Discussion and Conclusions: At present, there is no single point of view on how the enthusiasm for computer games arises and develops, how computer games influence the child's mental development and personality, whether they can contribute to his emotional development, cause deviations in his behavior, aggressiveness and cruelty. Despite numerous studies of the bullying problem, it remains an open question how computer game enthusiasm is associated with blocking the process of positive personal development of the child and teenage bullying. How the impact of violent computer games on the child's psyche is associated with aggressive forms of harassment.

PHILOSOPHY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

Abstract

Introduction. The problem of understanding conscience in the conditions of the influence on it by modern information technologies has become of great importance. In this case the purpose of this work is a research of changes taking place in the intellectual world of active users of the Internet in the context of their predicament of value-based structure of a personality.

Materials and methods. In this work there are the main methods used in social-humanitarian sciences first of all analytical and system approaches, a secondary analysis of the data of empiric researches. The research of the problem (case study) takes place also on the basis of using a new methodological approach – a worldview analysis of the phenomena of intellectual( spiritual) world of a person having made by the author.

Results. The article concludes that the impact of the Internet on people’s spiritual world is determined by its essential characteristics - a huge number of hypertext information which is readily available and can be quickly found by a person. The possibility to generate and spread the information by an anonym on the Web affects the Network users’ spiritual world. A large amount of information that can be quickly spread and the phenomenon of hipertextuality, – all this stimulates the trend towards a "mosaic thinking", an important feature of which is multitasking. Hypertextuality and multitasking, in its turn, contribute to the process of reducing Network users’ voluntary attention, up to attention deficit disorder. Orientation toward the information that is continuously available to a Network user changes the nature of its memorizing. It is increasingly happening due to the "external expansion" of consciousness. In addition, there is activation of the process of visualizing consciousness that may reduce the role of abstract logical thinking. The Internet gives the opportunity to meet a variety of needs.

Discussion and Conclusions. However, the impact of the Internet on the people’s spiritual world is complex. The degree of negative or positive effects can be determined in relation to a particular person taking into consideration the characteristics of his spiritual world, above all, his values and outlook. Sustainable outlook which includes positive values for an individual and society helps to avoid the negative influence of informational technologies and make use of their opportunities for personal development. An individual with more developed values and world outlook can better point out important and necessary information in the information flow. He can better generalize it to his advantage, correlate it with the existing knowledge and successfully apply it in practice.

SOCIAL PHILOSOPHY

Abstract

Introduction: This paper examines the current situation with companies in the market and examines the need for such companies to make a qualitative leap in competitive strategy, because the dynamics of social processes requires continuous technological and ideological development of the HR departments are responsible for dealing with personnel problems in the organization. The modern concept of "lifelong learning" represents necessitaty of including in the process the development of postgraduate educational path specialist.

Materials and methods: For better understanding, the role of gamification is needed to be defined, so the article also analyses the current state of the theory of gamification and main approaches to its interpretation. The article provides an overview of the discussions that unfolded in the last two decades around the phenomenon of gamification and the legality of its inclusion into scientific use. The authors insist on the distinction between the concepts "game" and "gamification". Gamification is treated as a special principle of social practices in contrast to "pure" game as self-contained, offline activity. Regardless of extra features, the game itself is not peculiar to the pragmatic, utilitarian character. In other words, the goal of the game lies within the game itself and could not exist outside it, while the goal of a gamified activity is always set to practical goals.

Results: Such a leap could be made possible in human resources by introducing gamification, which is proven to provide a significant improvement in performance with HR services in the enterprise. We conducted research to see the connection between gamification and the four types of games considered by the theorist R. Caillois such as «agon», «mimicry», «illinx», «alea». These four applications of gamification both have advantages and disadvantages which have been identified.

Discussion and Conclusions:  The findings make a conclusion on the applicability of these practices and their role in HR services.

Abstract

Introduction: The article identifies the importance of research in the field of philosophy of education. The literature review presents a wide range of researchers in the field of humanistic philosophy of education. The system analysis of the current trends in the philosophy of education is given.

Materials and methods:  The methodological basis is represented by the triad of hermeneutics existentialism-synergy. The study is carried out mainly on the basis of hermeneutic positions. The prospects of existential and synergistic positions are demonstrated.

Results: The results of the study: the essence of existential (understanding) of education is determined by the leading role of language. The dominance of pragmatism is not in line with the goals of human existence; therefore, it is not the basis of existential education. Education as a form of social existence of a man should not aim at superficial social problems, but at understanding the human being. The analysis of the relationship of human being and nature education allow us to conclude that existential education is focused on the act of understanding as an anthropological event. Education directs attention to the underlying meanings, based on the main events of human life: Birth, Love, Osamenost, Speech, Creativity, Freedom, Delight, Doubt, Suffering, and Death. These achievements should be represented in education. Human intentionality is considered as the human desire for openness, incompleteness. The definition of openness of human existence and the conformity of this metaphysical characteristic of its existence, the openness of education, the purpose of which is to build an understanding of the view of the world, allows to justify the conclusion about the incompleteness as a General trait of human existence and hermeneutically, existential, synergetic oriented education. Existential education is intentional. Festivity (celebration, fun, game, fixing the achievements, celebrate success) and the tragic mood (suffering, pain, sorrow, death are the important components of a fulfilling human life and they should not be evaluated unambiguously negative) in education. can be combined in art. The consistency of the experience of the fundamentals of human existence and co-presence with them in hermeneutically oriented education make it event-related, give it meaning. The article also investigates the border line of the achievements of a man and education. The conclusion about the nature of self-regeneration of education is drawn.

Discussion and Conclusions: The authors stick to the humanist antiscientific position in the analysis of the revealed unity of human nature and existential education, believing that humanistically oriented education should help to find the man a tough, but the best possible place to live between the “must be” and “the existing”. Existential education aims to help a person to keep courageously the dynamics of the balance on the blade of Genesis, on which he goes from himself to himself. Education in the article is represented as institutialized environment of ongoing human evolution in hermeneutical undertaking.

Abstract

Introduction: Contemporary Slavic paganism is not the object under consideration in this article. The dissertation research of K. Aytomurtoh, which appeared in 2011 in Helsinki, is one of the most important foreign publications tackling the problem of modern Russian Rodnoverie. The paper highlights the issues of the genesis of the phenomenon of modern paganism; multiple narratives of Rodnoverie have been collected and analyzed.

Materials and methods: Rodnoverie is considered by the author in the context of post-modern religiosity, as one of the variations of the NSD. The author tries to highlight the specific features of the Russian version of the movement, drawing an analogy with the West - European equivalents. Particular attention should be paid to the extensive field material of the author, collected in the process of direct interaction with the adepts of the movement.

Results: in the last chapter the author presents the evolution of the study of the pagan movement which for a quarter of a century of its existence has undergone both ideological and institutional transformation. K. Aitamurto also suggests possible prospects of Rodnoverie in Russia. Special attention is drawn to interaction between Rodnoverie and the Russian Orthodox Church, which, in the opinion of the author, is a leader in the Russian religious structure.

Discussion and Conclusions: despite rather uneasy historical conditions for the emergence of modern paganism and the leading positions of confessional churches in modern Russia the prospects of the national movement are estimated by the Finnish researcher optimistically. K. Aimomorto speaks about the possibility of further institutional and philosophical development of the new pagan religion in Russia.
