FROM IMAGES OF POWER TOWARDS THE POWER OF IMAGES. THE CURRENT PROBLEMS OF THE INTERDISCIPLINARY HUMANITARIAN RESEARCH
Abstract
The article summarizes the account of the all-Russian conference “The Images of Power in Humanitarian Researches” that took place in the city of Nizhniy Novgorod on the April, 11-12. The participants focused on such broad array of the current historical issues as the interrelations of images, memory and the policy of representation, as well as the iconography of the conceptualization of an ideal power and the policy of representation of the images of Another within the European culture.
