PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PEDAGOGICAL SUPPORT OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN MODERN SOCIOCULTURAL CONDITIONS: NEW CHALLENGES AND RISK FACTORS

Abstract

The article analyses the problem of psychological support of primary education, due to a significant discrepancy between the actual level of psychological development of modern elementary school students and the requirements of the educational standard. A complex combination of modern civilization, environmental, medical, social and economic factors, and their interaction on child’s development leads to high degree of heterogeneity of the enrollment of the Russian school. These children need continuous psychological and pedagogical support, rather than the one-time or cyclical lessons to overcome particular learning difficulties. Such work should be the main content of psychological support of the educational standard. The rich traditions of the national child and educational psychology are productive methodological basis for determining the content and principles of psychological and pedagogical support of the primary educational standard.
