GLOBAL ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION: THE VECTOR OF PEDAGOGICAL INNOVATION FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

Abstract

The article considers topical issues of formation of global environmental education as an innovative pedagogy in the transition to sustainable development. Uncovered background and relevance global environmental education in the light of growing global environmental problems and recognition of education as the "key agents for change" towards sustainable development. Special attention is paid to the philosophical grounds of global environmental education: imperatives for the survival of humanity, the movement of civilization from prirodoohrannaya to co-evolution, which can ensure the realization of the personality itself as part of the planetary space. Scientific basis for global environmental education described in the context of post-nonclassical stage of the science development, ecologization and humanization of scientific picture of the world and formation of ecological worldview. Presents a methodical system of global environmental education, including unity of purpose, content, process, and technological components. Presents the results of work of scientific school of geo-ecological education of the Minin University on the problem of formation of global environmental education.
