CONTEMPORARY ORTHODOX ANTHROPOLOGY: SOME CONCEPTUAL FOUNDATIONS

Abstract

The article examines exogenous and endogenous causes of the actualization of anthropological perspectives in modern Orthodox theology. The purpose of this article, the authors see the reconstruction of the methodological basis of the Orthodox doctrine about the person. The, conclusions of the authors can be summarized as follows: despite the efforts of theologians in their constructions correspond to the spirit of the time, the subject of Orthodox anthropology continues to be not so much a real person as "man and bloodraven mystical experience," in light of what anthropology is presented as the applied aspect of Christology, soteriology, and Trinitarian theology. Thereby outlines the logic of "modernization" of Orthodox thought, which in General can be characterized as a "neopatristic synthesis": the basis of the description of facts laid the tools and techniques used since the time of the Church fathers, the solution of the anthropological problems of the present day is subject to dogmatic grounds; and the key task of Orthodox thinkers is determined by finding adequate in the first place - traditions, ways of conceptual understanding gained theological experience.
