FROM HISTORY OF TEACHING PSYCHOLOGY IN SOVIET SCOOL: PSYCHOLOGY LESSONS AS ELEMENT OF CIVIL IDENTITY OF PUPILS IN USSR

Abstract

Within the modern conditions of modernization of higher education the psychological knowledge is in demand. Psychology lessons introduced in secondary school after World War II solved lots of problems: education through the ideological orientation of the object; the formation of pupils' ability to understand other people and their individual identity and to build a relationship with them; the formation of consciousness of pupils and their ability to self-control and self-development contributed to the overall improvement of the civil identity of adolescents. In general we can say that the history of psychology, teaching in local schools in the middle of the XX century. yet is a terra incognita, only some of its frag-ments slowly exude through the thickness of ideology. One can only regret oche-anterior "expulsion" of psychology lessons at school.
