В работе отмечается принятие обществом идей устойчивого развития через систему образования и просвещения, которая способна изменить массовое сознание людей, ориентируя его на сохранение природных и культурных ценностей, этическое, гуманное отношение к жизни, поиск компромисса там, где экономические интересы производства вступают в конфликт с экологическими интересами общества. Данная учебная программа курса «Экология» И.Е. Жуковской представляет собой межпредметный курс, преподавание которого связано как с получением знаний и навыков, так и с переосмыслением мировоззренческих, культурных ориентиров обучающихся, становлением целостной деятельной личности.
