В статье исследуются особенности создания образа города в польской литературе XIX века на материале произведений Э.Ожешко и Б.Пруса. Образ польского города, с одной стороны, приобретает черты мегаполиса, сравнивается с другими европейскими города, а с другой стороны, сохраняет национальную специфику и мифологизируется.
The article examines the features of a city image in Polish literature of the XIX century on the material of E.Ozheshko and B.Prusa. The image of the Polish city, on the one hand, acquiring the features of the metropolis, compared with other European cities, and on the other hand, preserves national identity and mythologized.
